Concentrating in Litigation and Municipal Law
T. Michael Schober co-chairs the firm’s Litigation and Municipal Law Practice Group. His practice focuses on land development and zoning issues along with significant commercial real estate matters and related litigation. In addition, he handles personal injury claims.
A senior member of the firm, Mike was admitted to the State Bar in 1969 and admitted to practice before all Wisconsin courts, the US Supreme Court, US Court of Appeals – Seventh District, the Wisconsin Supreme Court and the US District Court – Eastern District.
He has served as Court Commissioner in Waukesha County and as the Assistant State Judge Advocate in the Wisconsin National Guard. He is a member of the Waukesha County Bar Association and the State Bar of Wisconsin. Mike also served as the City of New Berlin Assistant City Attorney from 1973-79 and City Attorney from 1979-1995. Mike also provides services to municipalities on an “of counsel” basis.
Mike performed undergraduate work at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, following which he obtained a Juris Doctorate from Marquette University in 1969. He was born in Waukesha and attends Holy Apostles Catholic Church in New Berlin. His involvement in community activities have included the New Berlin Chamber of Commerce, the New Berlin/Muskego branch of the American Cancer Society. He is a former director of the Waukesha County Foundation, served on its Grant Review Committee, the Waukesha County Mineral Extraction Committee and other civic organizations.
